Kyle Cooper is a motion graphics artist who has developed and produced multiple film title sequences. I have chosen the title sequence from Spider-Man, which is one of my favorite film openings which does a fantastic job of setting the mood for the film. My favorite part of the title sequence is actually the end; I loved the way that the last web that is shown in the title sequence is integrated into the first scene of the film. The web transforms into a web that is on a building. The type used fits the mood that viewers should get into while the movie is starting. I also liked how the type was simple in its font and color but the best part of the type is the fact that it alters in the way that it bursts into and out of the screen. Kyle Cooper's use of the web to tie all of the words together was brilliant and fits very well; a spider web is a must when you are dealing with Spider-Man!
I am in the process of making a motion graphic for one of my college courses and Kyle Cooper's title sequences have inspired ideas and thoughts for my very own motion graphic. I hope that I will be able to set the correct mood and pace for my motion graphic! Kyle Cooper's work has definitely inspired me to go the distance and provide the best motion graphic I can make!
